Mentoring/Coaching

EdLearning Connections partners with schools and districts to tackle the question, How do we attract, retain, and grow great teachers?”   Our training framework develops mentors and instructional coaches who go beyond guidancethey empower teachers with the capacity, confidence, and connection they need to thrive.

We fuel teacher excellence!
Skilled coaches.  Strong teachers.  Successful schools.

Across the country, schools and districts continue to face increasing issues of teacher burnout and turnover.  In addition, they are grappling with a growing number of inexperienced teachers- those new to the profession or without formal training or certification.  These factors can result in an adverse impact on student learning and achievement.  Providing consistent, high-quality support is key to helping teachers and their students succeed.

Our program trains mentors and instructional coaches in helping teachers build the skills they need, while offering both emotional support and practical coaching.

“Each experience allows me to dig deeper and strengthen my skills as a mentor teacher. From knowing what to look for in the classrooms during observations to presenting the data to my mentees. I feel more confident in my ability to effectively and efficiently support and provide guidance to my mentees.”

This coaching training has empowered me to strengthen and reflect on my own coaching language and practice in order to support teachers at my school…while stretching and challenging my thinking at the same time. Diamar and Barb are authentic, insightful, and dedicated to the special work of growing teacher expertise!
